Autumn School for Professionals on Sustainable Management of Critical Raw Materials
Understanding the bigger picture and the interconnected nature of global business and society is increasingly necessary to and valued by industry. The EU funded project SusCritMat introduces courses on various aspects related to Critical Raw Materials which help participants to better understand the impact and role of critical raw materials in the whole value chain, enabling them to identify and mitigate risks. At the Autumn School for Professionals, taking place from October 24 to 26 at TU Delft, Netherlands, the Consortium experts from various academic fields related to Critical Raw Materials will share their knowledge with the participants, such as Prof. Ester van der Voet (University of Leiden), Prof. David Peck (TU Delft), Prof. Guido Sonnemann (University of Bordeaux) and Prof. Armin Reller (University of Augsburg). They will be complemented by professionals from business (such as Dr. Christian Hagelüken, Umicore, Dr. James Goddin, Granta Design, and Dr. Antti Roine, Outotec Oyi) as well as by policy representatives from organizations like the European Commission and the UN. All speakers will be available during the school for follow-up questions, discussions, exchange and networking.
To meet the different needs of professionals from a variety of backgrounds, the SusCritMat School for professionals consists of plenary parts and common networking activities as well as of three individual tracks where knowledge with a specific focus can be gained and deepened.
