Society profile

Latvian Materials Research Society (LMRS) was established in 1994. It is a public, independent, creative and professional organization, that unites individuals who are specialized in material development, research, production, use and training of specialists in the field of material research.

Latvian Materials Research Society organizes international conference – International Baltic Conference of Engineering Materials & Tribology – BALTMATTRIB. Each year conference BALTMATTRIB takes place in one of the three Baltic States – Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia. Conference gathers experts from various countries in materials engineering and tribology to share lectures about fundamental aspects and latest advances. Each participant of the BALTMATTRIB conference had a chance to submit one paper to peer reviewed conference proceedings in journal Key Engineering Materials (indexed in Scopus database).
