During the World Materials Day 2019 activities carried out by SOCIEMAT, prof Paloma Fernandez, FEMS President and former SOCIEMAT President received the SOCIEMAT Award “Diffusion and Scientific Education in Materials”. 

With this award our society wants to acknowledge the enormous work that she has carried out to bring Materials Science to the general public.
