35th Annual Conference of the European Society of Biomaterials (ESB 2026)

In the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS) and the European Society of Biomaterials (ESB), FEMS is pleased to promote the 35th Annual Conference of the European Society of Biomaterials (ESB 2026) through its communication channels.

The 35th ESB Annual Conference will take place from 7–11 September 2026 in Antwerp, Belgium, at the Flanders Meeting and Convention Center (FMCCA), a modern venue located in the city centre, next to one of the oldest zoological parks in the world.

ESB conferences are well known for attracting a highly multidisciplinary audience, bringing together researchers and professionals from chemistry, physics, biology, biomaterials science, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, medicine, and industry. The 2026 edition is expected to welcome more than 1000 participants from across Europe and internationally, consolidating its role as a flagship event for the European biomaterials and regenerative medicine community.

A core objective of ESB meetings is to promote interaction between basic researchers, applied scientists, clinicians, and industry, fostering the development of innovative solutions for clinical applications through multidisciplinary collaboration and technological advances.

  • Call for Symposia – deadline: 30 November 2025

  • Abstract submission opens: 31 January 2026

  • Abstract submission deadline: 15 March 2026

  • Registration opens: January 2026
