Overview:
The 8th International Conference on Ferromagnetic Shape Memory Alloys – ICFSMA 2026 will take place in Kassel, Germany, from 31 August to 3 September 2026 as a hybrid event. Organized by the German Society for Materials Science (DGM), the conference brings together the global FSMA community to discuss recent advances in ferromagnetic shape memory alloys and related functional materials. The program covers phase transformation mechanisms, magneto-mechanical coupling, functional microstructure design, and advances in actuation, sensing, and energy systems based on FSMAs. Additional topics include modeling approaches across multiple length scales, processing innovations, structure–property relationships, thin-film applications, and emerging material concepts.
ICFSMA 2026 offers a platform for researchers and engineers to exchange insights, initiate collaborations, and explore new scientific and technological directions in the field of magnetic shape memory alloys.
