The German Society for Materials Science (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde e. V., DGM), founded in 1919, is one of Europe’s largest scientific and technical societies in the field of materials science and engineering. As a founding member of the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS), the DGM plays a central role in shaping the European materials community.
