Call for Experts: Join the EU Raw and Advanced Materials Academies

3 Nov 2025

EIT RawMaterials has officially opened the Call for Admission Requests to join the Expert Database for the European Raw Materials Academy (ERM Academy) and the European Advanced Materials Academy (EAM Academy).

These flagship initiatives, funded by the European Commission, aim to upskill and reskill Europe’s workforce in the raw and advanced materials sectors — supporting the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act, Advanced Materials for Industrial Leadership, and the Green Deal Industrial Plan.

Through this open call, the Academies are building a Europe-wide pool of Subject Matter Experts, Technical Evaluators, and Industry Advisors who will help design, review, and guide new training programmes that address Europe’s most pressing industrial and skills challenges.

Who can apply

Experts from industry, academia, research, and education are invited to apply — particularly those with experience or interest in:

  • Raw and Advanced Materials

  • STEM, digital transformation, or sustainability topics

  • Curriculum design, professional or vocational training, online learning, or adult education

  • Industry skills strategies, innovation, and policy development

Areas of Contribution

Experts can express interest in one or more of the following categories:

  1. Course Development & Training Delivery – Advise on course design, contribute technical content, support eLearning development, and deliver training sessions.

  2. Evaluation of Third-Party Training Programmes – Review and assess existing training programmes for quality and relevance.

  3. Strategic Roadmapping & Prioritisation – Provide insights on emerging industry needs and future course topics.

Selected experts will be compensated for their work based on the task scope and their contribution level. Inclusion in the expert database does not automatically guarantee assignments but ensures visibility for upcoming opportunities as the Academies expand.
