IBERCorr’27, the 1st Iberian Corrosion Congress, will take place from 26 to 28 April 2027 at the Pavilhão de Portugal in Lisbon.
Jointly organised by FEMS Member Societies SPM – Sociedade Portuguesa de Materiais and SOCIEMAT – Sociedad Española de Materiales, the congress will bring together researchers, engineers, industry professionals and students from Portugal, Spain and beyond.
IBERCorr’27 will provide a platform for sharing the latest scientific and technological developments in corrosion and materials protection, while strengthening cooperation between the academic, technical and industrial communities.

Supporting early-career researchers:
IBERCorr’27 will actively encourage the participation of early-career researchers. The programme will include a Young Researcher Award, recognising emerging scientific excellence, as well as a technical photography competition highlighting the visual, experimental and applied dimensions of corrosion and materials protection.

Registration will open soon. Reduced registration fees will be available to SPM and SOCIEMAT members.
Early-bird registration will be available until 5 February 2027.
