Overview:
The symposium Residual Stress in Materials Science and Engineering – RSMSE 2026 will take place in Kassel, Germany, from 23 to 25 June 2026 as a hybrid event. Organized by the German Society for Materials Science (DGM), the symposium focuses on the evolution, analysis, and impact of residual stresses in engineering materials. These stresses arise from mechanical loading, thermal gradients, and manufacturing processes and play a decisive role in the performance and lifetime of components.
