Sabrine MEDJOUEL is currently a PhD student at CIRIMAT, a research unit affiliated with the University of Toulouse, where she started her doctoral studies in October 2024. Her research focuses
on the design and functionalization of porous materials, with a particular emphasis on macroporous architectures for advanced applications.
After earning her scientific baccalaureate in 2019, Sabrine completed a two-year technical degree (DUT) in Chemistry at the IUT of Montpellier. During this program, she conducted a three-month research internship at the ICSM (Institute for Separative Chemistry of Marcoule), affiliated with the CEA Marcoule, where she developed an early interest in porous materials.
She then joined the ENSIACET engineering school in Toulouse through a work-study program and completed her final year with the M2 MECTS (Materials: Processing, Characterisation and Surface Treatments) Master’s program at the University of Toulouse. Throughout her apprenticeship at ICSM, she contributed to various projects involving the shaping of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs). One of her studies has been published in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces journal.
In her current doctoral work, Sabrine continues to explore porous materials, now at the macroporous scale, aiming to tailor their structures and functionalities for specific properties and targeted uses.
