SOCIEMAT - World Materials Day 2021

As in previous years, SOCIEMAT joined other member societies of FEMS to celebrate the World Materials Day. The World Materials Day event was hold at the Polytechnic University of Madrid on November 3.

During the event the following talks were given by materials experts:

FEMS appoints new President and Vice-President

Following a secret voting process, the General Assembly confirmed Assistant Professor Anna Zervaki (National Technical University of Athens) and Professor Aldo Boccaccini (University of Erlangen-Nuremberg) as FEMS President and Vice-President respectively for 2022-2023. Read more

FEMS Master Thesis Award winner announced for 2021

On 12 July 2021, the 5th FEMS Master Thesis Competition took place virtually. The FEMS Master’s Thesis award is intended to recognise the best Master’s Thesis on Materials Science and Engineering, presented in any Academic Institution from the country of any FEMS Member Society. Read more
